Learn More About Melinda...

What’s on your bucket list and why?
We have a home in California so I want to learn to speak Spanish fluently. I speak Spanish in mostly nouns and verbs like a child. Who can’t speak Spanish?

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
No one can beat me in air hockey. No joke- I am one of the ten best air hockey players in the country. It’s gotten to the point where I glance down at the table and puck merely as a formality.

What are your Pet Peeves?
People who wait to talk instead of listening; reply all; regardless; stray hair; people who do not wave when you let them in traffic; bad grammar; poor umbrella etiquette, celebrity couple naming……. I could go on and on.

The book The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

What is your goal in life?
I'd like to be the person my dog thinks I am.

Who, living or dead, do you wish you could have over for dinner?
Mohammed and Jesus so that they could have a little chat. And Kevin Hart for comedic commentary.

All of my passwords, apparently.

What is your most marked characteristic?
I tell people what I think.

What makes you laugh?
I try to find the humor in everything and I seek out a sense of humor in my friends and coworkers. Also, the absurdity of some of the conversations we have in the office and what is on our Google search, all in the name of working with celebrities and athletes. Our day often ends with one of us asking “Did that just really happen?”.

What is your greatest extravagance?
A Personal Trainer. Although these days one might say premium gas.

What is your Greatest Advice?
Be selective.
The harder you work, the luckier you will get.
Chance favors the prepared.

What do you think is the greatest scientific discovery?
It’s a toss-up between the earth being round and the iPhone.

What is something you wish you were better at?

What has been said about you that you are proud of?
That I am smart and tough, but fair and get deals done.
And that I write really good letters.

Instinct, moxie, humor, energy, and grit.

What advice do give to your employees?
1. Be where the decisions are being made.
2. Be the first in, be the last to leave, be a sponge, be indispensable, be fun.

What is your superpower? Working across time zones. In addition to being bi-coastal, I have a thing for spontaneous world travel. In the last 12 months, I have been to Japan, Paris, London, Cabo, Rome, and the Greek Islands.  If anyone is holiday shopping for me, I am a size first class aisle seat in plane tickets.
