• CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 19-year-old local sensation is taking a bite out of the Big Apple with her singing, acting, and dancing skills.
    NC Native Reneé Rapp will play Regina George on Broadway’s adaptation of Mean Girls. 
    She went to Northwest School of the Arts.
    The singer, dancer, and actress cites Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, and Beyoncé as influences.
    Returning to Broadway in September after a Jimmy Award (National High School Musical Theatre Awards) and a Blumey Award (Charlotte’s premiere musical theater awards) last year, Reneé Rapp is ready to take NYC by storm.
